This year was the first time my school had a two week spring break. My family spent the first week in our condo in Whistler. We had some pretty good weather, it was sunny most of the time. Lots of my friends came up for day trips and some stayed in places of there own and we had a pretty good time skiing together. Here is a little video of myself and a bunch of buddies skiing at Whistler and Blackcomb. After Whistler my family went to Hawaii for a week and went swimming with sharks.
Last week was a great day for the freeskiing community. After much controversy Halfpipe skiing was finally put into the Olympics. The event is going to make it's debut in the 2014 winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia. Many people have wanted this to happen for several years now. People say it will attract lots of viewers and bring lots of money to the sport. But there are also arguments on the other side of the matter. Some people think that there will be to many rules and judged mostly on how many spins you do not your style. They say it's free"style" skiing so they think it will ruin the sport. But I'm 100% in support of the IOC's (International Olympic Committee). It is going to be the thing that I look forward to the most in the next Olympic games In Sochi.

Water Ramp Camp
In July 2010, my brother, my friend Thomas and myself did a water ramping camp for 3 days in Whistler, BC.The camp was coached by Joe Schuster, who is a professional skier. He brought a few of his pro skier friends to help out. Not many people knew about the camp so to our surprise when we got there we were the only kids participating. This was great because the coach to camper ration was 1:1. Here's a video of the three days we spent water ramping.
This was the first time I'd ever done something like this. It was one of the coolest things I've ever done. The Way it works is the part you ski on is a bunch of hard plastic bristles that you spray with water to make them slippery. The reason that bubbles are coming up from the pool is to break up the surface of the water so the impact isn't as bad because when you go of the biggest jump, your going about seven meters in the air. There are also trampolines in the beside the pool so you can practice your tricks before you take them to the ramps.

Pictures and Videos
I'm a pretty lucky guy, my dad has a Nikon D 300 and my brother has a Gopro HD camera and a Nikon D 40. A couple of weeks ago it was a really sunny day at Blackcomb and the Highest level park was in prime condition. I will try and get a video up soon but here are a couple pictures that my dad took:

About Me!
I'm sure you've noticed by now that I love skiing. It's my passion and I plan on skiing for the rest of my life. I've been skiing since I was 5 so probably so that's 12 years now. I started out doing the Ski Wee program at Grouse Mountain is North Vancouver. I would always go skiing there on weekends and days I didn't have school. When was I was 13 I got my first pair of twin tips, K2 Juvy. I was the happiest kid on the planet. I would always rip around the rookie park at Grouse or the odd time I went to Whistler I would be in the terrain garden.
In December 2009 my family took a large step towards our dream of skiing as much as we can, we along with another family bought a townhouse right on Alpha lake in Whistler. It's a year round paradise for us with the skiing, skating on the lake in the winter and biking, hiking, swimming, fishing and even skiing on the Blackcomb Glacier. It's nice to call Whistler Blackcomb my home mountain.
Now I ski mostly in the Highest level terrain park, but when there's fresh pow I'll be shredding pow lines and hitting drops.
